Piano, Violin and Voice Lessons with Krystal Stark

Krystal Stark has over 14 years of experience as an educator, dedicating her career to teaching and mentoring students across various settings in Minnesota, Alabama, and Kansas. Her work spans from teaching students in Pre-K through high school in public schools to instructing at the university level, allowing her to impact learners across a wide range of ages and disciplines.

Krystal earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Secondary Music Education from The University of Alabama in 2017. During her time there, she served as the Student Representative and Logistics Coordinator for the Alabama American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) State Board and Vice President of the University of Alabama Student ACDA Chapter. She was also an active member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Her research on multicultural education has been presented at both state and national conferences, showcasing her dedication to promoting inclusive education.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Alabama, Krystal taught undergraduate education majors foundational musical skills, choral methods, assessment strategies, and facilitated practical teaching experiences in Chamber Choir settings. She also worked as a Pre-K music teacher for Tuscaloosa City Schools, where she developed a standards-based curriculum and mentored undergraduate music education majors.

Krystal has been the Artistic Director of the Calliope Women’s Chorus, where she led a diverse group of singers, bringing a variety of music to the community and fostering an inclusive environment. She also previously served as the Assistant Music Director at First United Methodist Church, where she directed children's music and assisted with the adult choir.

Krystal holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education-Choral from Wichita State University, which laid the foundation for her work as a music instructor. Throughout her career, she has focused on developing innovative teaching methods and creating meaningful educational experiences that inspire both students and educators to reach their full potential.
