After years of teaching at traditional music academies, we were inspired to provide a more convenient opportunity for our students. We started with one goal in mind: provide the highest quality music lessons, and soon found wonderful teaching partners across the country to do the same. We truly believe in the power of music education, and we strive to make that process as simple and convenient as possible.
Soon after our start as a small violin studio, we expanded to include piano and cello lessons. The demand was so great that we knew there was a need for top notch, in-home lessons near you across the country. We are proud to be collaborating with a group of fantastic professionals across the country. Each of our teachers are accomplished musicians and teachers who share our vision of simple, high quality music lessons. Our specialists are ready to pair you with the perfect teacher for you to start great lessons in your home.
How Lessons Work

Teaching Methods
Our instructors are certified in a variety of pedagogical methods including Suzuki and Faber, and work with you to decide what is best for your child’s progress. Many families choose the Suzuki method, known for teaching very young children in the same manner they learned their first language. Adults and students 10 years and up often choose traditional methods that focus on note reading skills.
Because every student is unique, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. Some students learn best by ear, while others prefer reading music. Some people have hours to practice every single day, while others can only spare a few minutes twice a week. Some students are very serious and hope to become professional musicians, while others just want to have fun or learn something new. At City Strings & Piano, our goal is to provide the best experience for your unique situation.
