Vivian Chan grew up in Pickerington, Ohio, where she began taking piano lessons at the age of five. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from The Ohio State University in the Spring of 2020, studying with Professor Steven Glaser. Vivian graduated with her Master's degree in Piano Performance with Dr. Laura Melton at Bowling Green State University in the Spring of 2022, where she was a graduate assistant collaborative pianist. During her graduate years, she was active in playing chamber and duo music and earned 2nd place in the Douglas Wayland Chamber Music Competition and 3rd place in the Dr. Marjorie Conrad Art Song Competition, both held at Bowling Green State University. Previously, Vivian also studied flute beginning in middle school through her undergraduate degree at OSU. Outside of music, Vivian loves spending time with her friends and her cat Levi. She currently resides near Columbus, OH.
