Violin & Piano Lessons with Trent Ransom

Trent Ransom is a graduate student studying Viola Performance at the Juilliard School in New York City. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Violin Performance from NYU and DePaul University. He currently studies viola with Carol Rodland at Juilliard, and previously studied violin with I-Hao Lee, Cyrus Beroukhim and Teri Einfeldt. Trent has attended Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, I-Hao Lee Program (China), Round Top Festival Orchestra, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and Preludio Program for Advanced Violinists at the Ithaca College Suzuki Institute. Honors include winning the Connecticut Youth Symphony concerto competition, and winning the Hartford Musical Club Competition.

Trent has several years of teaching experience. In addition to studying string pedagogy at DePaul University, he underwent training and became certified to teach the Suzuki Method. His teaching focusses on developing proper technique and form from day one, while making the learning process fun and individualized to meet the needs of each student.
