Ziwei is a prize-winning pianist and experienced teacher who has performed as a soloist across four continents. His musical journey has taken him from the pre-college program at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, to earning his bachelor’s degree in piano and musicology in China, and later completing his master’s and doctoral studies in the United States. Along the way, he has studied with internationally respected teachers, won numerous competition prizes, and performed at world-renowned venues including the Sydney Conservatory of Music and Federation Square in Melbourne.

In the teaching studio, Ziwei combines this wealth of professional experience with a lighthearted, student-centered approach. He understands that true progress comes from playing the music you love, so he encourages children to explore pieces that inspire them, while also building strong technique through classics like Hanon and etudes. To keep lessons fresh and engaging, Ziwei often adds a short game, a story, or even a video to help students stay focused and enjoy their time at the piano.
