Violin & Piano Lessons with Sarah Wahoff
Sarah Wahoff is a dedicated and innovative educator living in St. Louis, Missouri. Sarah has been playing the violin for over 25 years, and has spent the past 17 years teaching violin, viola, piano and voice, as well as music theory and composition through local institutions and as a freelance music instructor. They have taught private lessons for more than 200 students, helping young players prepare for contests, orchestra and college auditions, recitals, and festivals. Currently, Sarah teaches a music program at Intersect Arts Center, guiding youth through lessons in sound design, voice acting and foley work, and various aspects of storytelling that can be achieved through music.
Sarah’s teaching philosophy deeply prioritizes expression. In lessons, they encourage students to think about the emotional implications of what they are playing, translating the music’s message for the audience. Students of Sarah's will learn how to tap into their self-awareness and feelings while performing, realizing the expressive potential of their instrument and themselves.
