Piano Lessons with Rebecca Hackett


Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Rebecca Hackett recently graduated from Purdue University with dual bachelor’s degrees in music and physics and as a member of the John Martinsen Honors College. In addition to her academics at Purdue, Rebecca also studied piano performance under Depauw University’s May Phang, played the cello in the Purdue orchestras where she also acted as a music librarian and frequently accompanied the ensembles on piano, spent a year as Northern Virginia Community College’s College Music Society chapter president, and worked as a musicology intern at Classical Music Indy. Rebecca has been taking piano lessons since the age of five, playing cello since the sixth grade, and started teaching at fifteen. She has experience with students aged 3-20, of beginner through early advanced levels, in-person and remotely, and has also given adaptive lessons to pupils with disabilities. Rebecca is passionate about sharing her love for music and believes in a comprehensive approach to music education that meets the unique needs and interests of each student while leading them to achieve their full potential.
