Piano Lessons with Sue A.

With a lifelong passion for music, teaching, and the creative arts, Sue has been an inspiring presence in the St. Louis community for more than four decades. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Webster University and began teaching in 1978. Since then, she has guided students of all ages—from preschoolers to adults—through the joys of piano study, focusing on solid technique, music theory, artistry, and confidence at the keyboard. Her warm, patient teaching style has made her a beloved instructor for generations of families.

In addition to private and group piano instruction, Sue taught music in private schools, preschools, and daycare programs from 2005 to 2012, bringing her enthusiasm for music education into classroom settings for children in grades K–8. Her long career working with children also includes serving as a dedicated nanny since 2001, providing nurturing, hands-on care and engaging young learners through books, puzzles, creative projects, and daily adventures.

A multi-talented artist, Sue discovered her love for painting in 2013 and has been creating ever since. Working primarily in acrylics, she paints realistic landscapes, seascapes, florals, and pet portraits, and embraced fluid art during the COVID lockdown. Her work has been featured in numerous art shows, fairs, and commissioned pieces across the region.

Whether at the piano, in the classroom, or in the studio, Sue brings kindness, creativity, and a genuine love of learning to everything she does.
