Violin & Viola Lessons with Gabriel M.

Gabriel M. is a versatile violist from San Diego, California, whose work spans classical performance and cross-genre collaboration. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, studying with Basil Vendryes, and just completed his Master’s degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he was awarded The John Mclnulty prize for Orchestral string playing (1st prize). Gabriel has performed in festivals and concert halls across the United States and internationally in Italy, Scotland, Germany and England.

He has appeared with a wide range of ensembles and artists, including The Scottish Opera, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Scottish Ensemble, Sammy Rae & Friends, Streetlight Manifesto, and The Lodestar Trio, among others. In addition to his classical work, Gabriel is an active collaborator across genres and has performance and recording experience in rock, folk, indie, and klezmer/Jewish Music.
