Violin Lessons with Omari Abdul-Alim

Originally from the Seattle area, Omari Abdul-Alim holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in violin performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is currently an active performer and teacher throughout the San Diego area.

As a music instructor for a wide range of students of all ages, Abdul-Alim uses his experience in classical music to build a fun and enriching curriculum for his students, often beginning with the Suzuki method to develop their ear and instrumental technique. While this is a great starting point for some, he believes that everyone learns differently. Thus, students are strongly encouraged to find and bring music that they like, regardless of the genre. He uses his experience as a teacher in Seattle, Kansas City, Cincinnati and now California to get the best out of every student.
