Piano & Guitar Lessons with Noah C.
Noah is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, bass, drums) of 15+ years and audio engineer of 8+ years. Noah’s musical journey began with a handful of guitar lessons at around age 12, which shortly transitioned into self-teaching bass, piano, and drums. At first resistant to the “rules” of music theory, Noah took Choir in high school which introduced him to notation, arrangement, and what would later become a particular area of interest, jazz harmony.
At the advice of a mentor in High School, he went on to study music production at Pinnacle College where he would begin to tutor fellow students about recording arts and music theory, while continuing to explore sounds and concepts that piqued his interest outside of his studies.
Currently, Noah teaches, performs, and works as a live and studio audio engineer full-time, allowing him to be immersed in an ever changing variety of musical genres and roles. His preferred style of music to write and play in falls somewhere on a venn diagram of jazz, progressive/psychedelic rock, and rnb.
Noah’s approach to teaching prioritizes centering his students’ goals and tastes, and encouraging students to become creative and curious about how music works.
