Violin & Piano Lessons with Anthony C.

Starting violin at age 12, Anthony Couvillion found his love for music instantly and took it with him to college where he discovered his new love for the viola, deciding to switch instruments and never look back.

In 2024, Anthony traveled to the Czech Republic as the principal violist of the Prague Summer Nights festival orchestra where he led his section through three orchestra concerts across the country and four opera performances of Mozart’s “Le Nozzi Di Figaro” and “Don Giovani” in the renowned Estates Theatre, the last standing concert venue where Mozart conducted.

Anthony is a recent graduate from the University of North Texas studying under Susan Dubois. While in school, Anthony pursued many opportunities with chamber music and had the honor of playing Brahms’ second string sextet in their faculty chamber music concert with Professors Horacio Contreras, Susan Dubois, and UNT’s newest violin professor, Simon Gollo.

Outside of music and school, Anthony loves visiting art museums, film and digital photography, and going to the gym.
