Piano Lessons with Anna M.
Anna completed her Bachelor of Science in Music Technology at the College of Staten Island in January of 2022 with a focus on piano, media scoring, and audio engineering. She was awarded The PCA Award for Excellence in Music and The Ted McIrvine Memorial Award. As an undergraduate pianist at The College of Staten Island, she loved playing pieces by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, and Beethoven. Her film music influences are Joe Hisashi and Danny Elfman. Anna also has experience in bands and marching band as a clarinetist, and choirs as an Alto singer.
Anna enjoys all styles of music, especially pop, rock, and R&B which she has explored further while pursuing her Post-Bacc degree at Rowan University in Music Therapy.
Anna has a flexible and adaptive teaching style that fits the needs of individual students. She believes anyone can learn to play an instrument, and that enjoying music and playing any instrument is the key to consistency. She believes in teaching lessons at the student's pace, incorporating music theory, and having a diverse repertoire.
