Violin and Viola Lessons
with Zoe Hartenbaum
Zoe Hartenbaum is a classically trained violist with 5 years of viola and violin teaching experience. Most recently, she has worked at Youth Orchestra of Bucks County’s SIC program as a teaching artist. One of her main teaching focuses is technique as it pertains to alignment in the body for the purpose of preventing injury in the long run. Her other main focus is helping to create a lasting and healthy relationship between the student, the instrument, and music in general. She doesn’t have a set method of teaching, and instead prefers to tailor the teaching method to each individual student, their interests, and their learning style.
She studied at both the Peabody Conservatory and California Institute of the Arts under renowned violists Richard Field, Maria Lambros, and Andrew McIntosh. As a violist, she has performed at venues including the Kimmel Center, Seiji Ozawa Hall, Koussevitsky Music Shed, Vista Theatre, and REDCAT theatre at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
