Violin & Piano Lessons with Zachary B.
Florida-born violinist, educator, and multi-instrumentalist Zachary B. has been passionate about music since the age of six. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education and a concentration in violin, he currently serves as Director of Orchestra, Chorus, and Guitar at Walker Middle School in Orange County Orlando, FL.
Zachary began his musical journey in elementary school, later studying for 11 years at the Jupiter Academy of Music under the mentorship of Ms. Laura Mozena. Even in a county where orchestras were rare, he found ways to perform by playing percussion in middle school band, leading the percussion section in high school marching band, and performing in concert and jazz ensembles.
While in high school, Zachary was part of the Early Childhood Teacher Education Academy, honing his skills in lesson planning and communication. His dedication earned him recognition as the Palm Beach Career and Technical Education Student of the Year and a nomination for the Palm Beach Pathfinders Scholarship in instrumental performance.
At UCF, he studied privately with Dr. Ross Winter and performed in renowned venues such as Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with the UCF Symphony Orchestra and UCF Chamber Orchestra under Dr. Chung Park. Zachary is an active member of the American String Teachers Association, Florida Orchestra Association, and the Florida Music Education Association.
In addition to classical performance, Zachary enjoys exploring a variety of genres, including fiddle and soundtrack music. He has taught privately at various studios around Central Florida and now brings his expertise to City Strings & Piano, where he continues to share his passion for music with students of all ages.
"Music has always been my greatest passion, and I strive to inspire every student I teach to find their own connection to it." – Zachary B.
