Violin & Piano Lessons with Alexandra Falcone
Alexandra Falcone is a New York City based classically trained violinist of over 13 years. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where her violin studies began in the preparatory program at Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) with Cleveland Orchestra Violinist, Vladimir Deninzon. In addition, Alexandra attended the Jacobs School of Music Summer String Academy where she studied with Stacia Spencer. She attended The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music as a violin performance major and studied with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra first violinist Anna Reider for three semesters until transferring to New York University (NYU) Steinhardt School of Culture Education and Human Development continuing her Bachelor’s of Music in Violin Performance with Dr. Cyrus Beroukhim with an expected graduation date of May 2023. During her time at NYU she performed as a first violinist in the NYU orchestra under the direction of many esteemed conductors including David Chan and Ted Sperling. Alexandra also was the first violinist of a trio coached by the accredited violinist, Giora Schmidt.
Alexandra has extensive performance experience including solo, chamber and orchestral works. She has performed in many venues such as Severance Hall, Cleveland Playhouse Theatre, Mixon and Kulas Hall at the Cleveland Institute of Music. While at the Conservatory of Music at University of Cincinnati she performed in Corbett Auditorium, Patricia Corbett Theater, Cohen Family Studio Theater, Robert J. Werner Recital Hall and the Watson Recital Hall. Highlights include performances alongside two time Grammy Award winners Jason Mraz, Melissa Etheridge and Kenny Loggins. A Symphonic Led Zeppelin tour around Scotland and Ireland, several world premieres of orchestral works and working one on one with Grammy Award winning composer and conductor Joan Tower.
Alexandra believes that being a music instructor is an enormous responsibility and privilege. She enjoys it immensely and takes it very seriously. Inspiring and establishing an interest, respect and a passion for music in general is always her number one priority. Alexandra believes a music education should be made available and accessible to everyone. In addition to teaching at City Strings, she is also on Faculty at the Montclair Music Studio in Northern New Jersey where she teaches violin and beginner piano to all ages.
