Violin & Viola Lessons with Sean K.

Sean is a violinist and dedicated teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. He holds both a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. As a performer, Sean has appeared with ensembles such as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Lancaster Festival Orchestra, New Haven Symphony, and New World Symphony.

Sean began his own violin journey at the age of four through the Suzuki method, studying for twelve years at Suzuki Music Columbus before later completing several teacher certifications through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. With over a decade of teaching experience, he blends the depth of Western classical traditions with the supportive and student-centered philosophy of Suzuki. Younger students are a particular specialty, and a welcome opportunity to practice curiosity, patience, persistence and the joy of discovery. Sean performs part-time as a section violinist in The Columbus Symphony, Lancaster Symphony, and a few other professional ensembles throughout the year.
