Piano Lessons with Sarah S.

Sarah is a classically trained pianist with a lifelong love for music and over a decade of study at prestigious institutions including the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and Hunter College, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance. She has performed across New York City and Europe as a soloist, collaborator, and chamber musician, and has been mentored by world-renowned pianists such as Geoffrey Burleson, Gary Hammond, Yves Henry, Seymour Bernstein, and William Wolfram.

While her foundation is in classical piano, Sarah also has training in jazz and opera, giving her a broad and expressive musical voice. This diverse background allows her to teach students not only how to play beautifully and technically, but also how to listen, phrase, and express music with confidence and feeling.

As a teacher, Sarah is deeply committed to helping each student grow at their own pace. She believes that with the right guidance, every child can become a confident and joyful musician. Her warm and encouraging teaching style helps students feel supported, inspired, and eager to learn. Whether your child is just starting out or preparing for auditions and recitals, Sarah brings both excellence and empathy to every lesson.

Outside of teaching, Sarah continues to perform and collaborate with professional musicians in both classical and contemporary settings, keeping her musicianship active and vibrant—something she brings directly into her teaching studio.
