Piano Lessons with Kelly Schaaf

Kelly is a professional musical theatre music director, pianist and singer who has worked in Equity houses and theme parks. She has also taught at multiple children's theaters and performing arts camps, including Stagedoor Manor and Long Lake Camp For The Arts.

She was nominated Best Music Director at Dallas’s Column Awards in 2017 and 2018.

Other notable past positions include Music Assistant at Ford's Theater in Washington DC and Live Show Supervisor at Six Flags America for two successful seasons.

Since moving to NYC in 2019, Kelly has worked with Bronx Science High, Centenary Young Performers Workshop, and Young At Arts as a music director and piano accompanist. She is the repertoire coach for American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Kelly's teaching philosophy is based on the belief that the key to successful music performance is 50% physical, 25% mental, and 25% heart. Her approach is based on positivity and encouragement. Kelly can teach a range of music genres, from classical to pop to jazz.
