She has won the concerto competition at American University twice, with both the Sibelius and Tchaikovsky violin concertos and was fortunate to perform both with the AU Symphony Orchestra.
Bauer has years of teaching and pedagogical experience both in the New York and DC metropolitan areas. She has been brought up playing under the Galamian school of violin and uses both the Suzuki method and other string methods in her teaching. She believes that building a well-rounded musical education is important and incorporates theory and ear training into lessons.
