Piano Lessons with Maggie Zhong
Maggie has performed in various concert venues throughout China, North America and Europe. Some venues include the Teatro Pavone in Perugia, Joseph Joachim Concert Hall in Universität der Künste Berlin, Neidorff-Karpati Hall and Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Hall in New York City.
Maggie has also participated in many music festivals, including the International Music Summer Festival in Leipzig, International Academy of Music in Italy. She has worked with many well renowned pianists, including Markus Groh and Thomas Rosenkranz.
Besides pursuing a solo career, Maggie is also a very active chamber musician. She has worked with Gregg Pauley, Michal Tal, Peter Winograd, Jonathan Klibonoff, and Gerald Robbins.
Teaching is one of her biggest passions and Maggie has been teaching piano lessons for 5 years to students of all levels and ages. Her goal in teaching piano is to share her passion for music and to inspire students. She studied piano pedagogy with Marjean Olson and advanced teaching techniques with Carol Aicher, both during her study at the Manhattan School of Music.
Maggie started to play the piano at the age of 4 in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and earned her bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music in New York City with renowned professor Phillip Kawin.
