Australian-American violinist Irene Fitzgerald-Cherry is an active freelancer in the New York City area and across the US. Ms. Fitzgerald-Cherry substitutes regularly with the California Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and Modesto Symphony, in addition to playing with multiple summer festivals including the Manchester Music Festival, New Hampshire Music Festival, and Hubbard Hall Opera Theatre. She has performed chamber music with Robert Walters of the Cleveland Orchestra, David Goldblatt of the San Francisco Symphony, and Sara Trobäck and Claes Gunnarsson of the Gothenburg Symphony. Ms. Fitzgerald-Cherry holds degrees from NYU Steinhardt, the Swedish National Orchestra Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the San Francisco Academy Orchestra.
