Cello Lessons with Ivan Luza
Venezuelan born, Ivan Luza, has established a reputable career spanning almost two decades as an accomplished cellist, composer, arranger, artist, and educator. As a performer, his career has taken him to some of the most prestigious venues, such as recent performances at The Kennedy Center, D.C., and Alice Tully Hall, N.Y. A champion of music genres outside of the classical scope, Ivan has enjoyed past collaborations with artists such as the Grammy award winning jazz string quartet, Turtle Island String Quartet, and award winning singer, Jon Batiste.
As an educator, he currently holds the position of Cello Faculty at the Washington Heights Community Conservatory for the Arts, a music program devoted to underserved students in grades 3 to 12 across various Public Schools in the Washington Heights area in New York City. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music. On his days outside of music, Ivan enjoys his time as professional make-up artist for Dior.
