Violin, Cello, Bass & Piano Lessons with Allison Wogan
Allison Wogan is a music teacher and multi-instrumentalist in Middle Tennessee. From the driving rock of bass guitar, to the sweeping and emotional motifs of classical violin, to even the percussively harmonic groove of acoustic guitar, she is a jack of all trades when it comes to the performance and pedagogical aspects of music. Her goals as a music educator are to educate young minds about not only how to grow in their technical skills on their musical instruments, but learn about how this continuously evolving industry impacts our society and how they as the musicians can thrive in such a profession. She does this through the implementation of learning pieces of music from a multitude of eras, teaching of the traditional and contemporary methods of music learning, and providing ways to grow as a performer and professional.
Wogan’s primary instruments are violin, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and voice. She also has playing and teaching experiences in viola, cello, double bass, piano, and ukulele. She has been teaching private lessons since 2017 and also has three years of public school teaching with two as an orchestra teacher and one as a general music teacher. Her education came from West Virginia University where she graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and 2022 with a Master of Arts in Music Industry. Outside of the music classroom, she also has a variety of other musical endeavors. These include working as a multi-instrumentalist and producer in recording sessions, managing marketing and promotion for upcoming music artists, leading worship at Grace Chapel Church, and providing music for wedding ceremonies. When she is not teaching or doing anything music related, some of her other hobbies include crafting, cooking, and hiking with her husband, Matthew, and her dog, Scotty. Allison teaches students in Brentwood, Franklin, Forest Hills, Belle Meade, and the greater Nashville area.
