Piano Lessons with Noah S

Noah S is a teacher, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Brookings, South Dakota. He currently serves as a music director at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, where he conducts the vocal and bell choirs. Noah holds Bachelor's degrees in music composition and computer science from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. There, he served as section leader and principal chair saxophonist in the St. Olaf Band, traveling throughout the U.S. and Japan, including a 2025 performance with the band at the College Band Directors' National Association conference in Dallas, Texas. Noah has also performed as a featured soloist with the St. Olaf Orchestra and worked as a collaborative pianist, accompanying students, ensembles, and performing artists.

As a composer, Noah loves writing and performing new music, and his works have been performed by ensembles including Spiritus Novus and the Grand Rapids Youth Chorus. In recent years, Noah has developed a passion for musical theater, directing music and conducting pit orchestras for theater organizations around the Midwest. Most recently, he taught middle and high school students at Harand Camp of the Theater Arts in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Outside of music, Noah enjoys spending time outdoors and reading and writing poetry. He is excited to join City Strings and Piano and looks forward to fostering his students' relationship with music!
