Piano Lessons with Shanice A.
Shanice A. is a classically trained pianist with over 15 years of experience, recognized for her expressive artistry, deep musical sensitivity, and commitment to education. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and went on to pursue graduate studies at the University of Southern California from 2021 to 2024. She later completed her graduate degree in music at Columbia University, where she also served as a Teaching Assistant under Professor Drew Coles and worked as a piano instructor during the summer of 2025. At Columbia, she enriched her teaching philosophy by taking extensive pedagogy coursework, further strengthening her approach to music education and teaching. With over seven years of teaching experience, Shanice has mentored students of various levels, fostering both technical excellence and a love for the instrument.
As a performer, Shanice has appeared on stages across the United States and internationally. Her performances have been featured at renowned venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Santa Monica College Emeritus College, UCLA Schoenberg Hall, the Colburn School of Music, and on the LACMA Live Sunday Broadcast. Most recently, she gave her graduate piano recital at Milbank Chapel at Teachers College, Columbia University. Through both her performances and teaching, Shanice continues to inspire audiences and students alike with her passion for classical music and dedication to artistic growth.
