Cello & Piano Lessons with Jessy Ya-Chen Lee

Jessy is currently a graduate student at the University of North Texas pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in cello performance.
As a cellist, she performs with several professional orchestras including the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and Plano Symphony Orchestra. She also plays baroque cello with Texas Camerata. She serves as an accompanist for children and youth choirs at First United Methodist Church Denton.

Jessy has a bachelor's degree from National Taiwan Normal University and a master's degree from Northern Illinois University. She loves working with all types of students, and started teaching cello and piano as an undergraduate student. Her teaching style is adaptive to each individual, because every student has their own interest and learns at their own pace. She pays attention to each students' basic technique and postures as she believes that having a good basic foundation helps you build up your skill and will help you improve. It's important to develop a good practice habits, but also to love playing music.
