Violin & Viola Lessons with Isabela Handman Quines
Isabela Quines is an avid chamber musician and free-lance violist and violinist in NYC.
She has taught private music lessons since 2010, and has worked extensively with the Washington Heights Community Conservatory; and programs such as Midori and Friends and The Noel Pointer Foundation. Her teaching style incorporates a strong focus on technique with an exploration of musicality and expressivity. Isabela meets the students where they are and tailors the repertoire to the individual student’s strengths and needs.
Music and the arts have always been home for Isabela - she began playing when she was four years old and grew up in a family of musicians and educators. She completed her undergraduate studies at NYU under the tutelage of Karen Ritscher and has since performed at Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall, the Majestic Theatre on B'way, and various venues across the Tri-state area and internationally. Major teachers and masterclasses include: Karen Ritscher, Betty-jean Hagen, Anne Lanzilotti, Janet Sung, Sheila Browne, Susan Dubois, JACK Quartet, Kikuei Ikeda, Karen Tuttle Workshop.
Isabela teaches violin and viola in Brooklyn and Mannhattan.
