Andrew Barrett, Violin

Andrew has taught violin happily for almost a decade. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2015. During his studies he took many courses in string teaching. He has received Suzuki Teacher Training in Books 1, 2, and 3 at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute with Marilyn O'Boyle. Andrew also has a solid performance background. He served as concertmaster of the Lock Haven Community Orchestra for three years, as well as the assistant concertmaster of the Mansfield University Symphony Orchestra. He played in the first violin section of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and for the Lycoming College Community Orchestra.

In addition to teaching violin and piano, Andrew is an opera singer and choir director. He wishes to impart on his students a love and passion for music making to last a lifetime, as his teachers have done for him.
