Piano Lessons with Lora B.

Lora is a 24 year old pianist that grew up in a small town in southern Iowa. She started taking piano lessons at just seven years old. Come middle school, she joined her high school’s jazz band as their pianist and played with them for six years until she graduated. Once in college, Lora focused on piano. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music and Psychology.

As a student, Lora participated in many competitions for piano/jazz and took home various awards. In college, she studied teaching techniques. She has several years of teaching experience. Outside of the piano world, Lora has much experience working with children. Throughout high school, she worked with children aged five to seven in the school’s after-school program. She would interact with the children, redirect them, and tutor them.

Lora is now a mom of two children and works full-time as a milieu treatment counselor at a mental/behavioral health residential campus for children aged ten to seventeen. In this role she teaches educational groups, plans and actively participates in said activities with them.
