Violin & Piano Lessons with Amy Russell

Amy Russell is a native of Denver, and started violin at age four and piano at age seven. In her youth she attended Interlochen Center for the Arts, Rocky Ridge Music Camp, played with the Young Artists Orchestra, and performed a piano concerto with the Colorado Symphony. In college she received the Fiske Full-Tuition Scholarship and earned her Bachelors in Music, Piano Performance, with a minor in violin at the University of Colorado, Boulder. After college she worked as a piano teacher while earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Denver University. As a social worker she worked with children, families and educators. Amy was the violinist and a vocalist with a folk-rock band and currently plays in a professional violin/guitar duo. She enjoys creative writing, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
