Piano Lessons with Kyungmi N.

Acclaimed by New York Concert Review as "...an awareness of detail... a clear sense of compositional structure..., a lively, vibrant sound and a wide palette of dynamics and colors," pianist Kyungmi has given numerous concerts as a soloist and chamber musician. Miss Kyungmi gave her New York debut recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2005, as the winner of the Young Artist Piano Award presented by Artists International Presentations, Inc. She has been awarded First Prize in the National Young Artists Competition of Korea and was a prize winner in the New Jersey State Music Festival Competition and Associated Music Teachers League, Inc. in New York. In 2006, Kyungmi was the Debussy Prize recipient of the IBLA Grand Prize International Competition.

Kyungmi received both the B.M. and M.M. degrees from Manhattan School of Music. Her appearances as a soloist with orchestras include the Seoul Arts Orchestra, New York Sinfonietta, and Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, which includes the world premiere of Henry Martin's Piano Concerto No. 3 with conductor Richard Auldon Clark and Manhattan Chamber Orchestra in 2007. She has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall (NYC), Lincoln Center (NYC), Merkin Concert Hall (NYC), Palazzo Fava (Bologna, Italy), Steinway Hall (NYC), and Universal Arts Center (Seoul, Korea).

Her students have been awarded top prizes at the American Protege Music Talent Competition, Charleston International Music Competition, Crescendo International Competition, Elite International Competition, and Little Mozarts Competition. Kyungmi is a Certified Steinway Educational Partner and works with all ages and levels, with more than 25 years of teaching experience.
