Violin and Viola Lessons with Austin Zhong

Austin Zhong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from FeiTian College in Cuddebackville, NY and a Master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of North Carolina, School of the Arts in Winston Salem, NC.

While in North Carolina, he taught at Diggs-Latham Elementary, teaching violin to third, fourth and fifth graders. He worked with the UNC School of the Art's ArtistCorp program, where he taught children from Pre-K to high school, both individually and in group settings. Austin’s teaching style is friendly and flexible, adapting to each student’s individual characteristics and needs. He uses the Suzuki repertoire or Essential Elements, and mix of traditional etude books, such as Kreutzer and Sevcik or more advanced players.
