Liz Kitts comes from a musical family and is a fourth generation professional violinist. She began playing the violin when she was 18 months old and was taught by her parents, Saundra Buscemi Kitts (first violinist, The Florida Orchestra) and Stewart Kitts (former Associate Concertmaster, The Florida Orchestra). Since then, she has studied with Jeffrey Multer (Concertmaster, The Florida Orchestra), Skye Carman (Holland Symfonia), Dan Jordan (Concertmaster, Sarasota Orchestra), and Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez (violin professor, Stetson University). Kitts has been a finalist in the Bach Festival Concerto Competition and a two-time 2nd place winner of the Marcia P. Hoffman Scholarship Concerto Competition. In the summers of 2006 and 2007, she attended the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina and in 2008 attended the Meadowmount School of Music in Westport, New York also known for producing violinists such as Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, and Joshua Bell. Liz Kitts has been Concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra at Stetson University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Ms. Kitts has traveled to Europe and New York performing in various recital halls including the Haydn Hall at Esterházy Palace in Vienna, Austria and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has also toured Japan with the Hollywood Festival Orchestra in January of 2017 and 2019. Along with her classical training, she has performed in a multitude of genres appearing with artists such as The Who, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, Sting, Adam Levine, Martina McBride, Rod Stewart, and others. She currently plays in eight orchestras spanning the southeast throughout Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Florida. Kitts spends a lot of her time in Nashville, TN recording at Ocean Way Studios and most recently, has been the Flying Violinist for Cirque Musica on their holiday tour in Canada.
