Violin & Piano Lessons with Rodney H.

Rodney H. is a Cincinnati-based violinist and dedicated teacher currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (2024–2026), with plans to continue toward a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. He has experience teaching elementary, middle school, and adult students in private lesson settings, and is known for adapting his teaching approach to each student’s technical level and musical goals. His instruction emphasizes a strong technical foundation, efficient and thoughtful practice strategies, and expressive musicianship, while also preparing students for recitals, ensemble playing, and performances.

As a performer, Rodney brings extensive orchestral and leadership experience. He has participated in two sessions of the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra Music Camp, serving as Principal and Associate Principal Second Violin, and previously served as Concertmaster during his undergraduate studies, leading major works such as Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. He has performed in multiple opera productions at CCM, presented two solo recitals, and is frequently engaged for professional events including weddings and special occasions.
