Violin Lessons with Maxwell F

Maxwell F is a Cincinnati-based violinist, composer, and educator. He made his White House debut at age 12 as a member of the Perfect Fourth quartet, performing for Michelle Obama, and his Carnegie Hall debut at age 13 with the Peraza Music Workshop Ensemble.

Maxwell holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance with a Concentration in Teaching Artistry and Music Education from the New England Conservatory, where he studied on a full-tuition merit scholarship with Donald Weilerstein. An experienced violin educator, Maxwell taught private violin lessons at Conservatory Lab Charter School in Boston, where he focused on helping middle school students develop a strong technical foundation while cultivating a love of classical music. His previous teachers include Almita Vamos, Davis King, and Marion Peraza. He is currently pursuing Suzuki certification at the University of Cincinnati to further develop his approach to violin pedagogy.

As a performer, Maxwell has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, and Cincinnati Philharmonic. He has also served as concertmaster of the NEC Philharmonia and the Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra.

As a composer, Maxwell has had his works commissioned by organizations including the New England Conservatory Chamber Orchestra and Castle of Our Skins, and premiered by ensembles such as the Boston Landmarks Orchestra and the Boston Latin Academy String Orchestra.

Maxwell is passionate about helping students develop strong fundamentals, musicality, and confidence while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the violin and classical music. Alongside his musical work, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
