Piano Lessons with Jih-Ting C.
Jih-Ting C. is a dedicated pianist and teacher whose greatest passion is unlocking each student’s musical potential. With nearly three decades of experience at the piano, Jih-Ting brings a deep understanding of technique, artistry, and musicianship to every lesson. She works with students of all ages and levels, guiding beginners as they build strong foundations and helping advanced students refine their skills and musical expression.
Jih-Ting began studying piano in 1997 and has pursued rigorous professional training ever since. She is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, following her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the same institution and her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan. As part of her doctoral studies, she also began formal organ training in 2017, expanding her expertise as a versatile keyboard musician.
An active performer, Jih-Ting has appeared in numerous solo and chamber recitals in the United States and Taiwan, including performances at CCM’s Werner Hall and Mary Emery Hall, Trinity Episcopal Church, and TNUA Concert Hall. She currently serves as organist and pianist at Mt. Washington Baptist Church and is frequently engaged as a collaborative pianist for choirs and ensembles.
As a teacher, Jih-Ting believes that learning piano should be both structured and inspiring. Her teaching emphasizes solid technique, musical understanding, and joyful exploration—ensuring that each student’s journey is rewarding, meaningful, and tailored to their personal goals.
