Violin & Piano Lessons with Emily G.
Emily is a current graduate student at Cincinnati's College-Conservatory, where she studies violin under Timothy Lees. Originally from Texas, she completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Houston, under the tutelage of Kirsten Yon. Previously, she was named an orchestra fellow at the Texas Music Festival, and has also served as principal second at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and the Trentino Music Festival. She is an active chamber musician and has performed in masterclass for Joan DerHovsepian, Ivo-Jan Van Der Werf, and members of the Formosa and St. Lawrence string quartets.
Emily has 5 years of teaching experience, working with both violin and piano students. Her teaching style is friendly and approachable, with an emphasis on learning proper technique right from the start.
