His profound connection with the violin began at a youthful age of 10, igniting a lifelong passion. Armed with a BMA from the esteemed University of Utah, his skillful mentors included the renowned Leonard Brauss, John England, and Dr. Kasia Sokol-Borup. Furthering his musical prowess, Michael pursued a MM in Violin Performance under the tutelage of the esteemed Almita Vamos at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, nestled within Roosevelt University. Eager to continue his growth, he is poised to commence his Graduate Performance Diploma alongside the esteemed Mrs. Vamos and Dr. MingHuan Xu in the anticipated fall of '22.
Beyond his classical roots, Michael thrives on collaborative endeavors, lending his talent to diverse artistic mediums such as poetry, rap, dance, and experimental ensembles. A noteworthy milestone in his career emerged in 2015 when he co-founded Hoofless, a boundary-pushing post-rock collective, alongside the accomplished composer Halee Jean. Together, they embarked on an enthralling journey, gracing audiences across the western United States.
