Piano Lessons with Gabriel Freeman
Gabriel Freeman is a classical pianist with over 20 years of conservatory training and more than 10 years of experience as an educator. Hailing from Cuba, he began his journey into the arts at the age of 7, later graduating with honors from the National School of the Arts at 18 years old.
Upon moving to the United States Gabriel continued his musical formation at Florida International University, where he studied under the tutelage of world-renowned classical pianist Kemal Gekic. In 2022, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance.
Throughout his career as a classical soloist, piano accompanist, and chamber performer, Gabriel has garnered several accolades such as winning the FIU Concerto Competition, which allowed him to perform as a soloist with a symphony orchestra.
Gabriel brings a wealth of academic knowledge and practical experience to his teaching. With over a decade of experience catering to students of all ages, his dedication extends to working with the visually impaired and children on the autism spectrum, having earned a certification in Behavior Therapy to further enhance his methodology and apply behavioral techniques to his teaching.
Today, he continues to inspire and nurture aspiring musicians in Chicago, fostering a warm and adaptable learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their musical goals. His approachable demeanor, coupled with a strong commitment to understanding each student’s unique needs and aspirations, ensures a fulfilling and enriching musical journey for all his students.
