Piano Lessons with Brian R.

Brian R. is thrilled to be a part of the City Strings & Piano team! With over 10 years of teaching experience, Brian continuously helps his students work towards their goals, while fostering a love of music and finding joy in the process. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s degree in opera.

Brian began his career as an educator teaching piano lessons during college, and later went on to be a choir teacher. He continued to teach private voice and piano lessons throughout his career all the way to Chicago where he now works as a professional pianist, singer, director and composer. Students of Mr. Rasmussen have gone on to pursue careers in music, theatre, stand-up comedy, and more.

Brian approaches music education with an individualized approach, seamlessly blending teaching styles and pedagogy to meet the needs of each unique student. From beginners to emerging professionals, students of Mr. R. can count on making great strides in their musical journeys.
