Violin, Viola & Piano Lessons with Henry H.
Henry is an experienced and passionate music educator who brings over seven years of teaching experience to young students in violin, viola, and piano. With a deep love for music and a thoughtful, student-centered approach, Henry has helped children of all ages and skill levels build confidence, technique, and joy in their musical journey.
Originally from Taiwan, Henry began his musical training at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks as a standout performer. His dedication led him to win numerous national and international awards, including 1st Prize in the Taiwan Music Competition and the Gold and Special Prizes in the Italy-Hong Kong International Music Competition for Violin Solo.
Henry is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the DePaul School of Music in Chicago, where he studies under world-class faculty with the support of a competitive School of Music Award. He has served as Concertmaster of the DePaul Symphony Orchestra and has participated in prestigious music festivals such as Meadowmount and the Northwestern Summer Violin Institute. These experiences have shaped his artistry and refined his ability to work collaboratively and lead with sensitivity—skills he brings into every lesson.
As a teacher, Henry combines structured technique-building with creative, age-appropriate activities to keep students engaged and inspired. He has received formal pedagogy training through the String Academy and has worked with school orchestras and youth ensembles, offering both private instruction and group coaching. His calm, encouraging teaching style makes him especially well-suited for young learners.
