Cello Lessons with Ben B.

Ben B is a cellist based in Chicago, IL and is an active orchestral and chamber music performer. He was recently appointed 1-Year Associate Principal Cello of Orchestra Iowa and has previously performed with Orchestra Iowa, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Madison Savoyards and Beloit-Janesville Symphony Orchestra. He earned a Master of Music degree from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music studying with Peter Stumpf and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin: Madison studying with Uri Vardi. Other teachers include Peter Thomas, Gregory Mathews and Barbara Ballin. Dedicated to sharing the cello with others, he previously served on the faculty of the Merit School of Music.

When he’s not performing, Ben enjoys volunteering for the PAWS Chicago animal shelter, marathon running, and serving as the CSO Overture Council’s Communications Chair.
