Piano Lessons with Troy Outlaw
Troy Outlaw is from Radcliff, Kentucky. He attended Western Kentucky University (WKU) for his undergraduate as a piano major, and he received his Bachelor of Arts in Music. Troy was the front ensemble section leader for the Big Red Marching Band for three years. His favorite composers are Sergei Rachmaninoff and Scott Joplin. Ragtime is Troy’s favorite music genre, and he is the founder of The Morning Glory Ragtime Ensemble. Troy is a music teaching artist with the Breathe Youth Arts Program. Troy enjoys composing, recording, and performing music. He’s currently attending graduate school at WKU to pursue his Master’s in music pedagogy (MMPD) for piano. His goal is to acquire a National Certification by the Music Teachers National Association. (MTNA). Troy explains his passion for music and teaching,
“Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a passion for helping others, teaching, and watching them grow because there is no greater happiness than seeing others succeed. I love all of my students, and I will continue to teach them how I would like to be taught. Why? Because this is truly my purpose: I am a music teacher.”
