Violin & Piano Lessons with Yeji H.
South Korean violinist Yeji H. is deeply fascinated by the power of music to touch and transform people’s hearts. Guided by a belief in authenticity and resonance, she seeks to create performances that communicate with sincerity and leave lasting echoes with her listeners. Her recent recital Un Chant en Couleurs was met with great success, drawing a sold-out audience. Previously, her junior recital Roots and Resonance at the New England Conservatory and a recital at Seoul National University left lasting impressions for their depth and sincerity.
Yeji is especially drawn to the intimate and genuine nature of chamber music. She has performed Borromeo Bartók Seminar Recital, and the Seocho Chamber Music Festival, and she will appear in a chamber concert at the Daejeon Arts Center in December 2025. Her curiosity and collaborative spirit have taken her to festivals such as the Heifetz Institute, Texas Chamber Music Institute, Cellobello Chamber Music Institute, Ishikawa Music Academy, and the Daegwallyeong Music Festival. She has worked with distinguished musicians including Atar Arad, Béla Horvath, and Andrew Mark. Notably, her performance of a cadenza for violin and viola composed by Atar Arad during their collaboration received much acclaim. Yeji is currently a member of the Arko Ensemble and Ahava Ensemble.
As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the New World Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra The Original, the Daegwallyeong Music Festival Orchestra, the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, and the Symphony Pro Musica. She is currently a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.
Yeji has earned numerous honors, including top prizes at the Medici International Music Competition, EMA International Competition, Nanpa Music Competition (Grand Prize), Hankook Ilbo Competition, and CBS Competition.
A graduate of Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, Yeji studied with the late Nam-Yun Kim, Ju-Young Baek, and Kowoon Yang. After completing her sophomore year at Seoul National University, she transferred to the New England Conservatory, where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Music under the guidance of Nicholas Kitchen as a Tan Family Foundation Education Grant and Dean’s Scholarship recipient. She is also supported by the Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF).
