Peter Ho, Piano

 Ping-Wei Ho born in Hsinchu County, Taiwan. He started learning piano at the age of 7, and has attended music program in Dongmang elementary school, Jianhua junior high school and graduated with the highest honor including performe concerto with the school orchestra. After he finished his first year in Hsinchu senior high school, he went to study at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in the United States.

As a piano soloist as well as a collaborator, Ping-Wei has performed in recitals and music festivals in the United States, Canada, Korea and Taiwan such as Chinese performing arts music festival, Bowdoin music festival, Orford music festival, Hsinchu National Culture Center, Kaohsiung National Culture Center, WGBH studios in Boston, O-Bank Performing Center, Keiter Center, NEC Jordan Hall. He has won several national and international competitions including Yamaha Piano Competition Youth Division,Taiwanese National Student Competition of Music National Musical Competition of Baroque Piano Competition, TSMC Piano Competition, NEC Piano Honor Competition and Pro Artist International Competition.

He holds Bachelor`s Degree in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory and has been awarded Deans scholarships and NEC merit grant. His teachers include Randy Hodgkinson, Meng-Chieh Liu, Hong- Kuan Chen, Bi-xian Chen, Stephen Hough, Robert Levin, Minsoo Sohn, and Alexander Korsantia. Currently, he is a Master’s Student at New England Conservatory and studying with Randy Hodgkinson.
