Violin Lessons with Maggie Ernst

Maggie Ernst is a violinist from small town Morris, NY. She first began her violin journey at the age of 3, where she then went on to study at the Ithaca Talent Education program at Ithaca College, with renowned Suzuki pedagogues Sandy Reuning and Kirsten Marshall. Maggie received her Bachelor’s in Music Performance at Florida State University, where she studied with Dr. Shannon Thomas. During her undergraduate degree, she formed a string quartet that was very active in competitions, outreach programs, and performances throughout the North Florida area, where she gained a lot of chamber music experience. She has competed in multiple concerto competitions, winning the Florida MTNA Young Artist Competition, and has held positions in the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, and Sinfonia Gulf Coast. Maggie currently resides in Boston, where she studies under Bayla Keyes at Boston University.
