Cello Lessons with Sam B.

BM University of Minnesota Twin Cities, MM Eastman School of Music. Sam studied cello with Tanya Remenikova, Steven Doane, and Rosemary Elliott. A dedicated educator, Sam currently serves on the faculty of the Bard College Conservatory Preparatory Division and Harmony Project Hudson. He previously taught at the Eastman Community Music School and throughout the Minneapolis metropolitan area, working with students of all levels. In addition to teaching, Sam is an active performer; he is a member of the Vermont Symphony and New Bedford Symphony, and serves as Assistant Principal Cello of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony. He has also performed with the Hartford and Portland (ME) symphonies. Sam can be heard on the Grammy-winning soundtrack for the film Maestro and is featured as a soloist on the album The Lost Generation. Outside of music, he is an avid rock climber, a hobby that mirrors his approach to the cello as both a physical and mental puzzle.
