Piano Lessons with Vincent Boone-Banko

Vincent was sat on a piano bench at the age of five and immediately fell in love. He has 13 years of classical piano training and has been working as an accompanist since 14 years old, gaining years of professional experience accompanying choirs, large bands, solo vocalists and instrumentalists, as well as contemporary and traditional church services.

Vincent also has formal training in the craft of piano pedagogy, having experience in teaching Beginner to Intermediate students of all ages. He has university-level training in theatre arts, movement, and vocal technique. He is working towards his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, which informs his teaching style. Growing up with parents who worked for the public school system has given Vincent a deep respect for the importance of effective, accessible, and comprehensive education. Vincent's pedagogical techniques are based in listening, empathy, and the understanding that every individual has unique needs.

While piano is his primary instrument, Vincent believes that the exploration of multiple artistic skills allows for a more well-rounded development of musical abilities. With six years of theatre performance experience and three years of formal classical and musical theatre voice technique training, Vincent values the importance of all expressive techniques in taking performance ability and enjoyment to the next level.

A firm piano foundation based in classical technique can empower students in their growth and exploration of the musical arts. Piano is more than just a hobby—it’s a valuable professional skill. Knowledge of the piano opens the door for new and fascinating career opportunities and a lifetime’s source of joy. Whether you want to achieve proficiency of Chopin or learn to perform acoustic covers, Vincent is excited to walk alongside you on that musical journey.

When he’s not playing piano, Vincent likes to spend his time reading, writing, spending time with friends, and learning new skills.
