Piano & Guitar Lessons with Alistair F.

Alistair is a dedicated composer, music educator, and multi-instrumentalist based in Austin, Texas, with over a decade of experience teaching, performing, and creating music. He holds a Master of Music in Composition from Texas State University (4.0 GPA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition with a voice and piano emphasis from Concordia University Texas.

Since 2012, Alistair has offered private instruction in piano, voice, bass, guitar, composition, and theory, teaching students from ages 3 to 90. He is known for his adaptable, student-centered approach and for maintaining an engaging schedule of 40 weekly lessons. He has served as an instructor at the Strait School of Music and previously taught K–12 students at Veritas Academy, where he designed creative, accessible lessons in music theory, history, and performance.

Alistair also works extensively in church music. At University United Methodist Church, he served as Assistant Choir Director and Artist-in-Residence, composing and arranging music for both live and online services. He currently writes commissioned works and performs regularly as a pianist and accompanist at First Baptist Church Dripping Springs.

Through his diverse roles, Alistair continues to inspire musicians of all ages while contributing original music to the community.
